For loving G-d means obeying His Commands & His Commands are not burdensome. 1Jn 5:3
We are a congregation of Jews and Gentiles, called by His Spirit, seeking to understand the Torah and our Rabbi, Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah. We are Torah honoring. We delight in His Holy Days, His Moedim, also known as His Appointed Times. (Leviticus 23)
It is our desire to follow Yeshua to deepen our relationship with HaShem (G-D) and connect with others of Biblical faith, both Jew and Gentile, so we can worship together as one new man. (Ephesians 2:15)
As Gentiles, we are adopted and grafted into the Olive Tree, into the commonwealth of Israel, and are heirs to the rich heritage of our adopted brothers and sisters.
(Romans 11:17-24, Ephesians 2:11-13)
It is Yeshua who saves us, for He is the eternal, final sacrifice, that takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29). We are saved by G-d's grace, through faith in Yeshua. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Olive Tree Community Spokane is not affiliated with the Hebrew Roots Movement, and we reject many of its theologies such as "Two House", "Ephraimite", "Sacred Name" and others. Please refer to the IAMCS position paper called "One Law Two Sticks: A Critical Look At The Hebrew Roots Movement" for a detailed explanation of this.
We are meeting together on Boker Shabbat (Saturday morning) at 11:00 am PST. As of May 1, 2021, we meet together every Shabbat live at the Red Bench Church, located at 27 W Indiana Ave in Spokane, WA, while continuing to provide an online worship service for anyone who isn't able to join us in person. by broadcasting each worship service on Zoom.com.
We have connected with like-minded believers from all over the country and offer a service full of many ways to worship (prayer, singing, dance, Scripture reading) to honor Shabbat, to honor HaShem, and to study G-d's Word. Afterward, we have a time called Yeshiva, where people can discuss the day's teachings, the weekly Parashat, or ask questions.
If you would like to join us for worship on Boker Shabbat, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, telephone number, and email address so we can add you to the mailing list and send a link and instructions on how to connect to the zoom meeting.
Olive Tree Community (OTC) is located in Spokane, Washington, but there are people from around the United States who are a part of our congregation and attend our Shabat service via the internet.
